Dhanush, who made us Tamil cinema patrons proud this year by being the youngest actor to bag the National Award for the best actor category, celebrates his birthday today, July 28.

The young actor, who seems to have stopped paying attention to his birthday, tweeted on July 26 saying, "Tomorrow I turn 28! I used to get so excited about my birthdays when I was younger. Now it's just another day. From boyhood to manhood... God bless". The star then realized that he got his birthday date wrong, and expressed, "Good God! My bad! Day after I turn 28! Lol. Don't even know what day or date!! Bad bad... God bless".

Dhanush is currently busy with work on tentatively titled 'Irandam Ulagam' with his brother Selvaraghavan. He will be seen opposite Richa Gangopadhyay in this film where Dhanush will sport three different looks. The cast and crew of this film are remaining tight-lipped about the script and characters, whilst GV Prakash has set in the tunes.

Today, as Dhanush blows out his 28 birthday candles, he is also starting work on his next project which will be directed by his wife, Aishwarya. While buzz is that Dhanush might be seen opposite Shruti Haasan in this film, Shruti, has turned down the project although she wanted to be a part of it, due to date clashes.
