Anirudh Ravichander is one of the youngest entrants in the music industry who became a youth sensation and music rockstar in a very short time. As the young music director turns 27 today, Indiaglitz wishes him a wonderful birthday!

Anirudh who has captivated millions of listeners through his youthful, energy filled and riveting numbers has shown propensity towards his calling right from a very young age. The music director who was a part of a school band ‘Zinx’ started composing music at the age of ten.

Anirudh debuted with a bang in '3' directed by Aishwarya Dhanush in which his ‘Why this kolaveri di?’ became viral globally which raked in more than 72 million views. From then onwards, he became an unstoppable force to be reckoned with in the film industry.

After a few successful projects, Anirudh also went on to work in films for industry’s top most actors like Vijay and Ajith in 'Kaththi' and 'Vedalam' respectively. Some of his notable alnums are Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Ethir Neechal’ and 'Remo',  Dhanush’s 'Velaiyilla Pattadhari' and 'Maari', Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’.

Anirudh has also earned raging fans with his live performances at star events, his peppy singles and his multifaceted skill as a playback singer as well. Anirudh also was awarded Filmfare’s Best Music Director Award twice in consecutive years among numerous other achievements.  

The exceptionally talented composer has several projects in the pipeline including Suriya’s ‘Thaana Serndha Koottam’ and Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Velaikaran’.
