It's indeed a happy and joyous birthday for director-cum-music director Kasthoori Raja. His forthcoming release Idhu Kadhal Varum Paruvam, which has musical score by the director himself, has won appreciation from music-buffs.

Kasthoori Raja, who had the fortune of working with Sivaji Ganesan had churned out over a dozen movies. He is a proud father today for his sons Dhanush and Selvaraghavan have won fame as actor and director respectively.

The veteran director, who is giving final touches to his dream project Idhu Kadhal Varum Paruvam featuring Kiran in a cameo, says,’As the title suggests, it would be a film on adolescent youth and their romance.'

Having been in the industry for so many years, Kathoori Raja says, 'The taste and preferences of the audience have undergone a sea change where movies are concerned. Earlier, emotional and sentimental movies were doing well on the big screen. Now they were being brought to the drawing rooms in the form of mega serials. Hence we are forced to direct movies to attract the youth'.
