HanuMan continues to exhibit robust performance, maintaining strong numbers even on weekdays. Preliminary estimates indicate that the Prasanth Varma-directed film, featuring Teja Sajja in the lead role, garnered 9.45 crore in India on Thursday. Despite a 16.67% decline, the figures remain impressive, especially considering it is the seventh day since its release. The movie, released in Telugu and Hindi, is not only resonating well within India but is also gaining international acclaim.
HanuMan is an exhilarating superhero film that follows the journey of a young man, portrayed by Teja Sajja, bestowed with superpowers attributed to Lord Hanuman. He embarks on a crusade for righteousness, confronting adversaries with his newfound abilities. The film, directed by Prasanth Varma, features a stellar cast including Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer, Vinay Rai, and others, contributing to its dynamic and engaging narrative.
Film industry tracking expert Ramesh Bala reports that HanuMan has made history by surpassing the 3 million dollar mark in North America, securing a spot among the top ten highest-grossing Telugu films in the USA.
The North American gross for Hanuman is as follows:
Premieres + Day 1: $906,493
Day 2: $801,485
Day 3: $810,316

Day 6: $118,970
Day 7: $105,037
Total Gross: $3,514,270 (29.18 Crs)
HanuMan's impressive performance has elevated it to the ranks of the all-time top six Telugu grossers in North America.
Hailed as the first hit of 2024, HanuMan is expected to maintain its momentum, even amidst a crowded festival release schedule during Makar Sankranti and Pongal celebrations in South India. Despite facing competition from other releases like Mahesh Babuâs Guntur Kaaram, Venkatesh Daggubatiâs Saindhav, and Nagarjunaâs Naa Saami Ranga, the film has stood out. Trade expert Taran Adarsh notes that HanuMan's box office performance over the first four days since its release on January 12 has outperformed Prashanth Neelâs KGF and Rishabh Shettyâs Kantara, and is on par with Sukumarâs Pushpa: The Rise â Part 1 starring Allu Arjun.
