Indian Cinema is always open to new ideas and never stepped back from trying experimental films. Our film industry is noway less than Hollywood or other International film industries.

Single-shot/One-shot films are such an experimental and frightening genre. Only a few country films have tried the genre. India is one of those countries which made one-shot films.

Rati Chakravyuh (Bengali), Agadam (Tamil), and Santhoshathinte Onnam Rahasyam (Malayalam) were the previous Indian films that experimented with this genre. Recently, Veteran Tamil filmmaker R Parthiban has announced that his next project 'Iravin Nizhal', will be a single-shot film.

Now, Telugu Cinema is stepping into the rare genre. For the first time, a Telugu film is being made with only one character, taken in a single shot with no edits. Helmed by debutant Raja Dussa, the film starring Hansika Motwani is a psychological thriller titled "One Not Five Minutes".

Hansika took to her Twitter to announce her next project which is the first of its kind in the Telugu industry. She shared a poster and wrote, “Started a new project yesterday . #105 #oneshotmovie , really excited for this one . Wishing the team all the very best . #105minutes #hansika53rd”.

The director said that the duration of the movie will be 105 minutes as the title suggests and it is about a girl’s struggle in a house. He shares that he came up with this out-of-the-box experimental idea to get noticed amongst the competitive industry.

“Writing is the key for films belonging to thriller genre, and I am sure the film will engage the audience,” Raja says. And also adds further that he is sure that the film will strike a chord at the box office.
