Hansika enjoyed top heroine of Kollywood status a few years back starring opposite big heroes like Vijay, Karthi, Dhanush, Simbu, Jayam Ravi, Arya, Jiiva, Sivakarthikeyan and others.  Off late she has slowed down and is currently starring in 'Thuppaki Munai' opposite Vikram Prabhu and another untitled film with Atharvaa directed by Sam Anton.

Hansika has signed a new movie to be directed by debutante Jamal which is a heroine oriented action thriller.  Jamal enjoys good rapport with Hansika having worked as an associate in her 'Romeo Juliet' and 'Bogan'.  Shooting is set to star in June and will go on in Chennai and seven foreign countries and the rest of the cast and crew details will be announced soon. Hansika is said to feature in many bold stunts and action sequences and is excited by this very different role in her career.
