On December 18, 2024, a legal case was filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC): 498-A, 323, 504, 506, and 34 at the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai. The allegations were raised by Muskaan Nancy James, accusing her husband Prashant Motwani, his mother Mona Motwani, and his sister Hansika Motwani of harassment. In her complaint, she stated that they caused disturbances in her marriage, subjected her to family violence, and demanded expensive items. She further claimed that the alleged harassment led to her being diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, a condition causing temporary facial muscle weakness.

When asked about the allegations, Prashant Motwani stated, "I have sought legal assistance now. At this stage, I do not wish to comment further."
