Hansika's long-delayed 50th film 'Maha' to hit the screens on this date! - Hot update

Hansika, who made her debut as a child artist in the cine industry, emerged as a leading actress in Kollywood and has now acted in more than 50 films. 'Maha' is the 50th movie of Hansika directed by debutant UR Jameel. The long-delayed venture's release date was finally announced with a new dashing poster.

Mathi Azhagan under the banner of Etcetera Entertainment has produced the movie. The makers took to their official Twitter handle to announce that 'Maha' will hit screens on April 28. The production house has also launched a special poster with the release date featuring Hansika and STR. Ghibran has scored music for the much-awaited film.

Hansika plays the titular role in this thriller drama while her ex-boyfriend Simbu has played an extended cameo role in 'Maha'. Simbu will be seen as a pilot & Hansika's romantic interest in the film and will have over 45 minutes of screentime. It also stars Srikanth, Sanam Shetty, Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Mahat Raghavendra, Suijith Shankar and Nanditha Jennifer.

'Maha' faced delay due to some internal issues within the crew. The issues have been sorted out finally and the film is set to see the light next month. Talking about the release, Hansika expressed, "I will not say that it is sad that the film did not come out, but I will say that it is disheartening that it took so long. But then again, I'm optimistic because this is my 50th film. I am currently shooting for my 55th film. But alright, I look forward to the release of 'Maha'. The script is fantastic and the film has come out well. I hope everything will be smooth soon and everything turns in favour of the film."
