The year, 2012, is particularly special for Mollywod which has seen some major changes in its film's narrative, production, cast and crew. Even the exhibiting theatres and distributors are ready to embrace those inevitable changes by equipping the release centres with modern facilities. The Mollywood industry which is in fact credited with the first 3D film in India will have another few films to follow the type. Mamootty-Prithviraj-Nayanthara team will have their first 3D in 'Arival Chuttika Nakshatram' which will be directed by Amal Neeerad. The other movie to be made in 3D soon is the debut directorial venture of famous cameraman RamachandraBabu titled as ' Manthrika Thakol'. Incidentally, Ramachandrababu was also the cinematographer of the first CinemaScope film 'Thacholi Anbu'and the first 70mm film 'Padayottam'.

Two new horror films that will soon be on theatres in 3D are 'Vinayan's Dracula 2012 ' and 'the R-factor-Raktharakshassu' to be presented by a group of fresh technicians. The shoot for both these movie s are almost over.
