Hailesa

If you are fed up watching Suresh Gopi, continuously in macho police officer roles, here seems to be a way out. The actor is also trying a change of image, refreshing his comic timing with the new flick 'Hailesa' - a full fledged comedy entertainer. Directed by Thaha who had earlier created such hilarious  films like `Vaarabhalam', `Ee Parakkkum Thalika' and `Mookkillarajyathu', this movie is his second coming together with Suresh Gopi, the first time being in Varnam - 'Thaha's debut hit. Produced by Jagadheesh Chandran in the banner of Kichu films, 'Hailesa' is expected to reach the theatres this month.

The movie has the super star as Unnikrishnan, a school dropout who is ready to do the work of ten men, all by him. He, while working in his step-father's fertilizer factory is fascinated by an advertisement posted in a news paper, asking for well built youth to assist one Ganapathy Iyer - a multimillionaire who has business firms in many countries.

Unnikrishnan and another guy Ulpalakshan, played by Jagathy, gets posted as the trusted aides of Iyer. Initially both of them don't find the job interesting but with the arrival of Shalini, a bold and jovial girl, both make a rethink and stick on to their jobs.

Ganapathy Iyer, a peculiar sort of person then plans to send them on a mission-one that is quite rare and is bound to change the lives of all the threesome.

Thaha has borrowed the title `Hailesa' from the popular labourer's chant in Kerala which give a sort of energy to the lead character. Thaha also certifies that Suresh Gopi has a good sense of comedy timing that hasn't been explored thoroughly.

Suresh Gopi also finds his role very different from the usual ones.'' I wanted a break from my regular officer roles and Unnikrishnan in Hailsesa seems to be a perfect one to present such a change. It gives the scope to bring in some lighter emotions'', say Suresh Gopi.

This action based comedy thriller scripted jointly by Saji Damodhar and the director Thaha will also feature Thilakan, Bijukuttan, Suraj Venjaramodu, Vijayaraghavan, Cochin Haneefa, Machan Varghese, Shobha Mohan and Salimkumar. Lalu Alex plays Ganapathy Iyer while Muktha is in the lead of the film as Shalini.

Anil Panachooran, Sibu Chakravorthy and Rajeev Alumkal pens the lyrics for the songs set to music by Ouseppachan. Vipin Mohan cranks the camera while P C Mohanan is in charge of the editing department.

`Hailasa' which has already completed its studio works, will grace the theatres by the end of this month.
