Hacking of smartphones to see a spike in 2020

Grant Thorton, a consulting firm, has brought out a report on the incidence of mobile-phone hacking. As per the report, the number of malware attacks and banking Trojans is only going to see a spike in 2020 compared to 2019. Last year, the number of hacking incidents were 54 percent higher compared to 2018. The trend will only continue, it seems.

Internet of Things, 5G technology and Artificial Intelligence are going to make it easier for threat actors or cyber criminals.

Experts opine that companies and corporates have to deploy advanced technologies such as data analytics to counter the newer and increased challenges to cyber security.
