While there have been various news reports suggesting that director M.Rajesh will be directing his next with actor-composer G.V. Prakash Kumar in the lead role, here comes the first official announcement confirming the project, title, cast and crew details and the date of commencement of shoot.
As widely speculated, the film has been titled as 'Kadavul Irukkaan Kumaru'. After the successful 'Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga', Rajesh will be directing this film with G.V. Prakash Kumar playing the male lead role. Avika Kor and Nikki Galrani have signed up to play the female lead roles in this film. The supporting cast includes Thambi Ramiah, RJ Balaji, 'Naan Kadavul' Rajendran and Robot Shankar. Prakash Raj has been roped in to play an important supporting role.
Musical score will be rendered by GVP while Sakthi Saravanan has been roped in to handle the cinematography.
Mostly, seashore towns/cities have been selected as the shooting spots of the film. The shooting will be taking place in Chennai, Goa, Pondicherry and Vishakapatnam. The film's art director Vairabalan is currently creating a huge set for the shoot of the film in Pondy.
Producer T.Siva is bankrolling this film under his Amma Creations banner. The film will have screenplay and dialogues written by Rajesh and it is touted to be an yet another romantic comedy from the director of successful films like 'Siva Manasula Sakthi', 'Boss Engira Baskaran' and 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' falling under the same genre.
Rajesh has also revealed the story line. "The hero meets two girls during a journey. While he falls for one girl, another girl falls deeply in love with him.The way this triangular love story moves and concludes will be highly interesting" assures the writer-director.
The Shooting of 'KIK' will begin in Chennai from the first week of March.
