Actress Shalini Pandey had started her acting career in Telugu with the much talked about hit Arjun Reddy which is coming soon in Tamil as Aadithya Varma, and had also acted in movies like Keerthy Suresh starrer Mahanati, and few more movies in Telugu.

She had debuted in Tamil this year with the Jiiva starrer Gorilla and was seen recently in the GV Prakash movie 100% Kaadhal, which received lukewarm response. Shalini Pandey was earlier signed for Moodar Koodam director Naveen's Agni Siragugal but was recently replaced by Akshara Haasan.

It has been said that the reason for Shalini Pandey opting out of the movie was that she has bagged the opportunity to pair with Bollywood top hero Ranveer Singh in his movie Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which will be directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar and produced by the prestigious Yashraj Films.
