GV Prakash, world music and Indian classical

While uncle Rahman might have seldom left a leaf unturned when it comes to music, G V Prakash is trying his best to give quality and different music for his films. Currently working on different projects like 'Madharasapattinam', 'Aayirathil Oruvan' and 'Aadukalam', the music director has said he is interested in giving sounds and music unheard of, recently. “Aayirathil Oruvan has given me scope to use a lot of old instruments like the Rudraveena and Yaazh, apart from making my favourite singer PB Srinivas sing,” he says, adding that the film’s music will have both contemporary and period music.

And for 'Madharasapattinam', he is geared up to explore a lot of Indian classical music, and says ragas that have been long forgotten will be revived.

Here’s wishing the young composer luck!
