Actor-composer GV Prakash and playback singer Saindhavi announced the ending of their 11-year-old marriage on May 13. Despite their request for privacy from the fans and media, much gossip and slander about their personal life started circulating on social media. GVP reacted to the speculations with a strong reply yesterday.
Today, Saindhavi expressed her discomfort over people invading their privacy. She put out a statement clarifying that the two mutually decided to part ways and will remain friends moving forward. GV Prakash quoted Saindhavi's post and urged the fans and media to be responsible. He also thanked the people who are supporting them in these hard times.
Saindhavi's statement says: "It's disheartening to see numerous YouTube videos fabricating stories about the news they've received, especially after we requested privacy. To clarify, our divorce is not due to any external force, and randomly assassinating someone's character baselessly is unacceptable. This decision was mutually made by both of us for our betterment. GV Prakash and I have been friends for 24 years since our school days, and we will continue to maintain that friendship moving forward. Thank You" (sic).
GV Prakash shared this and wrote, "For those channels who write their own stories on their own assumptions which is not true . And for some ids who enjoy charector assasinating people based on their own imagination and stories . For the rest thanks for ur support during these hard times" (sic). These posts are going viral now.
