The shooting of Chiyaan Vikram's magnum opus 'Thangalaan' with acclaimed director Pa Ranjith is heading strongly. The movie will be a mega-budget period action drama produced by Studio Green. The team is regularly giving updates to the fans about the film's progress.

GV Prakash Kumar is composing the musical score for Thangalaan and he has shared hot updates now. While talking to an entertainment portal, the musician revealed that he has completed three songs for Thangalaan and those have come out very well. He added that Pa Ranjith's team of lyric writers are always around and they immediately work around when the tune is ready by providing the best lines.

GVP reportedly said that the song lyrics are coined very beautifully for Thangalaan and the movie has a lot of tribal content to it. The star-studded cast of the film comprises Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Malavika Mohanan, Daniel Caltagirone and Harikrishnan. Thangalaan will have a Pan-Indian release in 3D.

The technical team includes Kishor Kumar as the DOP, Selva R K as the editor and S S Murthi as the art director with stunt choreography by Stunner Sam. Thangaalan is expected to hit the screens worldwide later this year. The story is based on the true events that revolve around the lives of mine workers in the Kolar Gold Fields, Karnataka.
