We all know that Kollywood's leading music director and hero G.V.Prakash Kumar has been vehemently campaigning in support of Jallikattu, the traditional bull-taming sport of Tamil Nadu. He even composed and released a song 'Kombu Vecha Singamada' in support of Jallikattu.
Now taking his campaign to the next level. the 'Darling' actor has announced that he will be participating in the Jallikattu sport event to be conducted tomorrow (January 17) at Aathur.
While many Kollywood celebrities are taking part in the protests to lift the ban on Jallikattu, GVP is the first person from the Tinsel town to announce that he will take part in the sport itself.
The conduct of Jallikattu has been banned by Supreme Court in 2014. The same Court quashed an ordinance promulgated by the Union Government in 2015 and reiterated the ban.
However on Sunday, in certain places in Tamil Nadu. Jallikattu was conducted-defying the apex court's order-by letting lose the bulls according to News reports. Today the protesters in Alanganallur tried to let conduct the Jallikattu but the police stopped it by resorting to lathi charge.
