Following Bala's 'Naachiyaar' G.V. Prakash's career as a hero is most definately on the upward swing with his collaborations with class directors such as Rajiv Menon in 'Sarvam Thaala Mayam', Sasi in 'Rettai Kombu' apart from half a dozen other youthful subjects.
GVP has joined hands with yet another intense director who is none other than Vasantha Balan who helmed such classics as 'Angadi Theru' and 'Veiyil'. The new film is titled 'Jail' and the images that have been released show him in a raw and rugged look. Abarnithi of 'Enga Veetu Mappillai' show is the leading lady while Radhilka Sarathkumar, Paandi and 'Baahubali' Prabhakar are also in the cast. S. Ramakrishnan and Bakkiyam Shankar are writing the dialogues , Ganesh Chandra is handling the camera and Sridharan Mariadhasan is producing under the banner Krikes Cine Creations.
'Jail' is in it last schedule of shooting and will soon enter postproduction and a release date within the year is a possiblity. It is worth noting that GVP made his debut as teenage music director in Vasantha Balan's 'Veiyil' produced by Shankar.
