G.V.Prakash takes up the fight for the cyclone affected fisherman

Music composer and actor G.V.Prakash is known for his active involvement in raising voice for social causes and field work for the welfare of people. Recently, cyclone Ockhi played havoc in the livelihood of many fishermen in the region of Kanyakumari.
G.V.Prakash along with actor Aari visited the fishermen at Kanyakumari giving their moral support as well as joining their protest in urging the government to take the issue of fishermen on a war footing.
Regarding this, G.V.Prakash stated that the fishermen community came to the strreets when the state was boiling with the jallikattu issue and now it was our rightful duty to help them when they need our help also. "It has been reported that about 60 people have died and over 600 are missing. The goovernment should take upon this issue on a war footing and announce it as a national emergency," G.V.Prakash said.
