Gurunandan underwater shoot surprising

The permanent ‘Raju’ of Kannada cinema Gurunandan – as his ‘First Rank Raju’ and ‘Raju Kannada Medium’ are victorious was in shock and surprise at the shooting of underwater sequence in the film.
On his return in the plane crash Raju is the only survivor in the film. Raju is immersed in deep sea water. At this time a shark also attacks him and injures him. Remembering this particular sequence Gurunandan said he was asked to do breathing exercise for some time which he practiced in local swimming pool in Bengaluru.
Later he was taken to the diving spot at Andaman Sea and oxygen cylinder was also fitted. As the action is told the cylinder is removed and he had to control the moments. The deep was huge and once the fittings were removed he was in complete shock for a few seconds. The experts in this case at the surroundings advised him to cross his hands in case of danger. The precautions taken had brought some courage for Gurunandan especially at this portion of shoot. Later on shark portions were added to this particular situation via graphics by Bahuhali team.
Gurunandan visited a theatre to know the reaction of audience in Mysuru. At this place an old woman with tears in eyes hugged him. On the one side difficulty Raju faces was touching for that woman and she got connected to the role.
‘Raju Kannada Medium’ theatres in Karnataka going houseful is common but interesting fact for Gurunandan was the theaters in Hyderabad, Poona, Mumbai and other places running to packed houses.
