'Joker' Tamil Nadu collections prove it is a hit

Director Raju Murugan's second outing 'Joker' has been unanimously praised by critics and audience and the film has entered its third week from today. Without any star value, the film released in a bare minimum number of screens initially but it has picked up in the next few days.
The film has already entered as a precious gem on the crown of Dream Warrior Pictures production banner of S.R.Prakash Babu and S.R.Prabhu. The film made on a minimal budget but with a huge commitment and involvement has also turned out to be a commercial hit.
According to trade sources. 'Joker' has grossed approximately Rs.4.9 crores in Tamil Nadu so far. The film did not get the 30% Entertainment Tax exemption granted by Tami Nadu State Government as the title is not a Tamil word. Despite this the film has been declared as profitable to all stakeholders.
Meanwhile 'Joker' starring Guru Somasundaram, Ramya Pandian, Gaythri Krishna, theater thespian Mu.Ramasamy and writer Bava Chelladurai is being praised by politicians of various ideologies and social activists and has become one of the path breaking films of the year.
