Guru
The 'Guru' of entertainment is coming this April. The Telugu remake of 'Saala Khadoos' ('Irudhi Suttru' in Tamil), although done with the shoot, has chosen to wait till Summer. Written and directed by Sudha Kongara, the one who directed the original, this sports drama presents Venkatesh in a look he has never tried. That 'Victory' is playing his age (well, allow him a leeway of 10 or so years) is welcome.
Produced by Sashikant of Y Not Studios, it's presented by Prasad V Potluri. Starring Ritika Singh as Venky's disciple, it also sees the coming together of a range of relatively less familiar faces, with the exception of Nasser perhaps. Mumtaz Sorcar, Nasser, Radha Ravi, Zakir Hussain, and Kaali Venkat, among others, are part of the cast. Ritika is a huge Pawan Kalyan fan in the movie. Harshavardhan, who has penned the dialogues for films like 'Ishq' and 'Manam', is the dialogue-writer.
Music is by Santosh Narayanan of 'Kabali' fame. The cinematography is by KA Sakthivel. Editing is by Sathish Surya. Art direction is by Jacki. Stunts are by Stunner Sam.
