Guntur Talkies
On the face of it, Guntur Talkies seems to be out to make boldness more mainstream. The last time Praveen Sattaru narrated a story, it belonged to entirely different sensibilities. The fact that it was recently bought by Sai Korrapati has only upped the attraction around the film.
Set for a March 4 release, the film will clash with Shourya and Kalyana Vaibhogame.
Despite Guntur Talkies starring the likes of Naresh, Siddhu, Rashmi Gautham (Jabardasth fame), Shraddha Das, and Mahesh Manjrekar, it's Praveen Sattaru's name that is the biggest crowd-puller when it comes to those who fell in love with his National Award-winning Chandamama Kathalu.
The makers are confident that the youthful entertainer will impress the target audience for sure. Rashmi Gautham's appeal may well work in the film's favour.
Mahesh Manjrekar is playing a trigger-happy, menacing villain and this could be one of his most irreverent roles as yet in Telugu. Shradda Das may have missed the mark in the past, but this time around the suggestive damsel is at her titillating best.
Let's see if this film will stand out as the winner among the three big releases.
