A gunman opened fire inside the premises of a bank building in the city of Cincinnati in the US, killing three on Thursday. One of the victims is Pruthviraj Kandepi, a Guntur district native. His death has come as a shock.
As per early reports, Omar Enrique Santa Perez, a 29-year-old man from Ohio, is the culprit.
Soon after the killing of the Indian, the country's Consul General in New York, Ambassador Sandeep Chakravorty, stated that the Consulate got in touch with the police and the victim's family.
TANA has told a news agency that Kandepi is a consultant with the bank where he was shot dead.
The casualties would have been worse had the police not got into quick action and killed off the gunman. The brutal gunman's photo is out. The motive behind the violence is yet to be established.
