Naga Babu, the Mega Brother and Producer, has generously donated the re-release earnings of the movie Gudumba Shankar, amounting to Rs 35 lakhs, to Pawan Kalyanâs Jana Sena Party. As the producer of the film under the Anjana Productions banner, Naga Babu's contribution is being celebrated by fans of Pawan Kalyan, who are delighted by this philanthropic gesture.
Presenting a cheque worth Rs. 35 lakhs to Nadendla Manohar, Naga Babu emphasized their commitment by previously showcasing the collections from the re-releases of Orange (Rs 1 crore five lakhs) and Jalsa (Rs 1 crore) to the Jana Sena party fund. He further assured that forthcoming proceeds from re-releases of their classic films would also be channeled to support the Jana Sena Party.
Expressing unwavering dedication to the party and its welfare, Naga Babu pledged that any future earnings from the re-released classics under his banner would be contributed to the Jana Sena Party. The film Gudumba Shankar, directed by Veera Shankar and produced by Naga Babu in 2004, featured Pawan Kalyan not only as the lead actor but also as the screenplay writer and action sequence choreographer. With Meera Jasmine and Ashish Vidyarthi playing pivotal roles and Mani Sharma composing the music, the re-release of the film, though not garnering significant audience attention, became a platform for Naga Babu's heartfelt contribution to the party's cause.
Pawan Kalyan has consistently emphasized that his involvement in films serves the purpose of supporting his political party, which is facing financial constraints. In response to criticism from opposition parties labeling him a part-time politician, he clarified that his party requires funds, unlike other political entities that receive donations from overseas. Pawan Kalyan has consistently expressed his dedication to instigating positive societal and political transformations by combatting corruption. His dual role as an actor and politician is driven by a broader vision of contributing to meaningful change in both spheres.
