South Indian actress Leena Maria Paul, who made news in 2013 after alleged cheating of Chennai based Canara Bank for Rs. 19 crores along with her partner Sukesh Chandrashekhar, is making the headlines again after two masked men on a bike fired shots at her beauty parlour in Panampilly Nagar, Kochi.

The incident happened at around 2.30 PM on Saturday, and fortunately, there were no casualties. A chit containing the name “Ravi Poojara” on it was left by one of the gang members. A staff from a neighboring shop who witnessed the incident said, “On seeing the security staff, he brandished an air pistol and returned. While leaving the spot, he fired in the air. As he rushed back to his accomplice waiting outside, the miscreant left the paper.”

Police think that the name of the underworld don Ravi Poojara was written on the paper in an attempt to mislead the officials. The actress was in Thiruvananthapuram when the incident happened. The investigation is underway.
