'Gulf', directed by P Sunil Kumar Reddy, tells the story of the plight of those labour who migrate to Gulf countries in search of employment. Based on the testimonies of some Indian labour in the Gulf, and some 500 case studies on the subject, the director is making this film as true to life as possible.

The news is that the drama will hit the screens on Oct 13.

Chetan Maddineni, Dimple, Santosh Pawan, Anil Kalyan, Shiva, Digvijay, Tirupathi, Anuradha, Kishore Babu, Sriram and others are playing important characters. The tag line is 'Sarihaddu datina prema katha' (a love story that has crossed borders). Posani, Nalla Venu, Thotapalli Madhu, Nagineedu, Teertha and others are part of the cast.

Music directed by Praveen Immadi, this one has cinematography by SV Shivaram. Lyrics are by Sira Sri, Kasarla Shyam and Masterji. Dialogues are by Pulagam Chinnarayana.

Some sections of audiences are counting on Sunil's track record. The director has made 'Sontha Ooru', 'Oka Romantic Crime Katha' and 'Gangaputrulu' in the past.
