In the Khamba forest area of Gujarat's Amreli district, a lion has been spotted consuming grass and later vomiting something. A video of the same was recorded and has been going viral on social media, leaving netizens shocked at the strange act of the carnivore.

People then started posting curious questions on the animal's diet, wondering if it was even normal behaviour. The Gujarat Forest Department cleared all their doubts with a post, stating that it was not uncommon for the carnivore to consume grass as they tend to do so when their stomach is upset. "Wild cats eat grass when their stomach is upset. This helps them vomit out some undigested food. Present video is about lion eating green grass in Khambha forest area of Amreli district," their tweet read. "The lion is not eating ordinary grass. Its actually taking medicine from the grass. Carnivores do it routinely," a user backed their claim.
