Vijay Rupani, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, has tested positive for Covid-19. The BJP leader's covid status became known earlier today.
On Sunday, while addressing a public rally at Mehsananagar crossroads in the Nizampura area of Vadodara, Rupani fell fainted all of a sudden and fell down on the stage. He was taken to the UN Mehta hospital in Ahmedabad. It was said by official sources that he suffered from a phase of low BP and therefore fell down.
A coronavirus test was today held by the private hospital where he was admitted. The result came back positive.
Rupani has been meeting with people and holding rallies ahead of the local elections in Gujarat. His government has also resolved to bring out an anti-Love Jihad law.
