Recently, Chandrababu Naidu wrote an open letter to the people of Andhra Pradesh about women's safety. This was in the wake of the Dachepalli rape incident that has shocked the state.
In response, PVS Sarma, a Gujarat BJP leader who recently tweeted in support of Pawan Kalyan after the Jana Sena leader lambasted the TDP government at his party's Guntur plenary, took potshots at Nandamuri Balakrishna. "Dear CBN garu, Instead of writing an open letter to all, write a short note to your brother-in-law Mr. Balakrishna, who openly and shamelessly espouses making women pregnant to prove manhood, to refrain. AP govt needs to protect women and children from such people first," Sarma said.
For the starters, Balayya drew a lot of flak when he made controversial, anti-women comments about women at the audio launch of 'Savitri'.
