GS Bhasker on World cinema day event on 28

Noted cameraman of Kannada cinema GS Bhasker is conducting a celebration event on 28th of December – the world cinema day. It was on this day in 1895 Lumirie Brothers held first paid screening of 10 silent short films for public at Grand Café Hotel, Paris – France effectively giving birth to the cinema.

At Suchitra Film Society ‘World Cinema Day’ on 28th December 2017 – event starts at 5.30 pm. World and Indian Cinema – philosophical issues lecture is given by MK Raghavendra well known film critic. It is followed by a musical tribute to VK Murthy by GS Bhasker – clips from movies like Pyasa, Kagaz Ke Phool and many more will be screened.

It is open invitation to all for the event to pay grand tribute to the ‘World Cinema Day’.
