Canadian singer and Elon Musk's ex-girlfriend Grimes left people confused after she was spotted reading a copy of Karl Marx's 'Communist Manifesto' following her separation from Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who happens to be a billionaire. However, Grimes has revealed that the book was merely a ploy to trick the paparazzi who wouldn't stop following her.

Sharing an article published by the New York Post with the headline "Grimes seen reading Karl Marx following split with world's richest man Elon Musk," the singer wrote on her social media handle, "I was really stressed when paparazzi wouldn't stop following me this wk but then I realized it was [an] opportunity to troll." Grimes further revealed that she was still living with Elon Musk and also clarified that she was not a communist. "Full disclosure I'm still living with e and I am not a communist. (although there are some very smart ideas in this book — but personally I'm more interested in a radical decentralized ubi that I think could potentially be achieved thru crypto and gaming, but I haven't ironed that idea out enough yet to explain it)."

Elon Musk had informed a couple of weeks ago that he and Grimes had "semi-separated" but they still loved each other. "We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms. It's mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She's staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room," the Tesla CEO was quoted as saying. Elon Musk and Grimes are co-parenting their one-year-old son named X Æ A-Xii Musk.
