According to the latest update in the Sharon murder case, the victim, on his death bed in the hospital ICU, had informed his relative that his lover Greeshma had indeed deceived him. Sharon had informed his relative that Greeshma had added poison in the Kashayam and that his death was certain. The statement has been included in the charge sheet filed by District Crime Branch before the Neyyatinkara Judicial First Class Magistrate Court (Two).

As per the charge sheet, Greeshma and Sharon engaged in sexual activities multiple times. On October 14, 2022, Greeshma invited Sharon home multiple times for having sex. According to the charge sheet, on the day of the incident from 7:35 in the morning she contacted him several times to visit her home. On the previous night, they engaged in sex talk for an hour and seven minutes. Sharon informed his relative in the ICU that he went to her home because Greeshma had repeatedly urged him through calls and messages to have an l intercourse.

The drink used in the crime was Shadanka, an Ayurvedic medicine made by boiling kashaya powder in water, which was mixed with pesticide. After Sharon's death, Greeshma destroyed the mobile chats and searched about the possibilities of retrieving the chats on Google and YouTube. Currently, Greeshma is held in Poomballikonam Srinilayam jail as the prime accused in the case, while the second accused, Amma Sindhu, was granted bail. The third accused, Greeshma's uncle Nirmalakumaran Nair, is also in jail.

According to the charge sheet, Sharon Raj and Greeshma started a romantic relationship in October 2021. Their relationship turned sour on March 4, 2022, after Greeshma became engaged to an army man. However, they resumed their intimacy in May 2022. In November, the duo secretly entered wedlock at Sharon's house and they even had a thalikettu ceremony at Vettukad church. They stayed in a hotel in Tripparap and consummated their marriage. As Greeshma's marriage with the army man approached, she decided to distance herself from Sharon.

On August 22, 2022, in her phone records there were multiple searches on Google about the harmful effects of overusing paracetamol pills on the body. Following which she mixed paracetamol and dolo tablets in a juice and offered to Sharon in the pretext of taking up juice drinking challenge. However, Sharon did not drink it due to its bitter taste. After the plan failed, on October 14th, she lured Sharon to her house and gave the concoction mixed with pesticide.

She also gave him juice to eliminate the bitterness. Sharon vomited in the room after drinking the kashayam. On returning home with his bike in the bike, he vomited multiple times. Soon he was rushed to hospital. Sharon's kidneys, liver, and lungs were damaged, and he died while receiving treatment. Reportedly, Greeshma's mother was aware of the murder, and her uncle aided in destroying the evidence.
