The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday found a massive 1800 kilograms of Pseudoephedrine from a house belonging to a police officer in Greater Noida. A Nigerian man and a woman were arrested and the drugs worth rupees 25 Crores has been seized which also included a quantity of cocaine as well. This is the biggest haul of drugs ever found outside a factory in India by any agency.
Earlier a South African woman was caught with 24.7kg of pseudoephedrine at the Indira Gandhi Airport on May 9th and after she was grilled the information regarding the other two was procured. The IPS officer who has been posted in Lucknow in the Economic Crimes Department has expressed shock and distress that such a thing has occurred in his premises and further investigation is on.
