Grandfather impregnates girl in Hyderabad

In a terrible incident of rape, a middle-aged man has impregnated a 17-year-old, who is his granddaughter by relation, in Hyderabad.

The incident has come to light in Meerpet area. The accused had remarried a woman a few years ago after the death of his wife. The second wife's relative was frequenting to his house along with his 17-year-old daughter. The accused allegedly manipulated the teen girl to spend time with him.

Last month, the girl complained of pain the stomach. When taken to a hospital, the doctors confirmed her pregnancy.

When the victim's parents sought justice, elders decided that the guilty has to pay Rs 1.50 lakh to the girl's family in an out-of-court settlement.

The case is now being looked into by the police.
