Grand welcome planned for K Viswanath

On having been conferred the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, which is the highest national award in the field of cinema, legendary director K Viswanath will be given a grand welcome by Telgangana government on his arrival in Hyderabad this afternoon.

Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Cinematography Minister, will in person receive the director at the Shamshabad Airport at 3 p.m.

It was a momentous day yesterday when, as the Hon'ble President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, gave away the award, the Kala Tapasvi received a standing ovation. He was asked to address the august gathering as well.
