Long stuck in the cans, 'Chanchal' starring Gracy Singh in the lead and the title role, is finally gearing up to see the light of the day.

Directed by Indrajit, who is the man behind the TV serial 'Amaanat' which first brought Gracy Singh into limelight, 'Chanchal' is set in Simla, Himachal Pradesh. As per Gracy, her role in the film is that of a bubbly girl and the entire story revolves around her character. The film also stars Bindu as Gracy's grand mother who provides comic relief. Armaan Shahabi is Gracy's male lead in the film.

The film conveys a social message of sorts since it is based on the Himachali way of life and is a family drama. In its own subtle way, it also sends out a strong signal to safeguard the much abused environment.
