Gowri Munjal is the latest from Mumbai to storm Kollywood. She plays the heroine in P Vasu's Thottal Poo Malarum. In the movie, the director introduces his son Sakthi to the big screen.

Says Munjal,'my father is a businessman. After I completed my graduation, I wanted to enter filmdom and luckily I got an offer to act in the Telugu film Bunny.'

Though there has not been any great deal of offers in Telugu, Gowri is still in the reckoning there.

On acting in a Tamil movie, she says, "It is a thrilling experience to make debut in Tamil in the hands of such a big director like Vasu."

When Vasu was in Hyderabad recently scouting for a heroine for Thottal Poo Malarum, Gowri was approached for the role..

Gowri is happy to act in Tamil films and hope to do more in the coming days.
