Yes. The final roadblocks for the conduct of Jallikattu this year has been cleared. The honourable Tamil Nadu Governor has passed the ordinance drafted by the Tamil Nadu Government with the consent of three ministries of the Union Government.

TN Governor C.Vidya Sagar Rao has just reached Chennai and officially promulgated the ordinance which in effect nullifies the ban on Jallikattu due to which the sport was not in Tamil Nadu for three years.

With this move, it has been confirmed that Jallikattu will be conducted in Alanganallur of Madurai district and a few other places in Tamil Nadu. Reports suggest that Chief Minister O,Panneer Selvam has already reached Alanganallur to preside over the Jallikattu event tomorrow (January 22, 2017).

This is the success of youth and the people of Tamil Nadu who have been relentlessly protesting for the past few days for safeguarding the Tamil culture and identity.

IndiaGlitz salutes each and every Tamilian who selflessly protested for this cause.
