Governor felicitates 2000 frequent blood donors at Chiranjeevi Trust

On Sunday, at an event held in Hyderabad, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan felicitated the frequent blood donors at the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust. On the occasion, Megastar Chiranjeevi also unveiled a policy named Chiru Bhadrata, through which as many as 2,000 frequent donors will be provided a personal accident insurance policy of Rs 7 lakh.
"Immensely grateful to Madam Governor for presenting the Personal Accident Insurance Policy (‘Chiru Bhadrata’) Cards to Dedicated blood donors of the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust at our behest. As a token of gratitude for the extraordinary contribution of over two thousand frequent committed blood donors at Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust, I have conceived this ‘Chiru Bhadrata’ program," the 'Acharya' star said.
The premium costs will be paid by the Trust, he added.
Since its inception, the blood bank has collected and donated more than 9.50 lakh blood units. Nearly 80% of the same went to the needy from economically weaker sections of society.
