The Central Government yesterday revised its coronavirus guidelines which allows state governments to increase the seating capacity of theatres and cinema halls to a higher capacity.

After the number of Coronavirus cases reduced in India, a new standard operating procedures (SOPs) has come, and as per the release from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) "Cinema halls and theatres have already been permitted upto 50% of seating capacity. Now they will be permitted to operate at higher seating capacity, for which a revised SOP will be issued by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in consultation with MHA."

The latest announcement from central government will make theatre owners happy and it has been expected that from February, theatres all over the country might operate at 100% seating capacity.
