The Government of India on Sunday issued a list of guidelines for the entertainment and media industry. Union Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar said that the SOPs will have to be adhered to for film shootings without fail.
The guidelines mandate masks and face covers for all cast and crew members, except actors who are in front of the camera. Sharing of costumes, wigs, etc. should be kept at minimum. Make-up artists and hair-stylists should wear PPE. Minimal use of props is a must.
Here are some other key guidelines:
6-ft physical distancing at shoot locations, recording studios, editing rooms, etc.
Scenes, sequences, camera locations, crew position seating, and catering to follow the distancing rule.
Minimum cast and crew to be present during the shoot.
Coordination with local authorities to manage crowds during outdoor shoots.
Resting and stay-over facilities should be put in place to ensure physical distancing.
Staggered call and pack-up timings for different production units at studios with multiple sets.
Designated entry and exit points for shoot locations.
Regular sanitization of sets, make-up and vanity rooms, etc.
Adequate provisions for gloves, boots, masks, PPE, etc.
