Pawan Kalyan has commented that the YCP government is unconcerned about the travails and tribulations faced by land-owning as well as tenant farmers. In a statement issued via Jana Sena Party, the actor-politician said that farmers are in a state of distress right from Srikakulam to Anantapur. They are facing a crisis of remunerative pricing and other structural issues afflicting agriculture, he added.
"Due to uncertainties and indebtedness, many farmers are resorting to the extreme step of suicide. Yet, the government is unfazed," the Jana Sena chief added.
Pawan alleged that about 3000 tenant farmers have died by suicide since YS Jaganmohan Reddy came to power. "It is palpable that the government is indifferent even when things have come to this pass," he added.
The party head assured that Jana Sena stands with the farmers in their house of crisis.
