One of the very common problems addressed by fans and the public is the exorbitant rates imposed on them for parking their vehicles inside the theatre premises. Members from the Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council headed by Vishal had earlier met with the state’s Chief Minister and parking rates was one of the several issues that was talked about.
As a result, the parking rates in theatres have been revised by the government. According to an official anoouncement, theatres in the city will have a fixed rate of Rs.15 for two wheeler parking and Rs.20 for auto and car parking respectively.
In addition to this, theatres in municipalities will charge only Rs.7 for two wheelers and Rs.15 for car/auto parking. Accordingly, panchayat theatres will charge Rs.3 for two wheelers and Rs.5 for cars and autos.
The Tamil Film Producers Council has appreciated the state government thanking it for a quick resolution in its official release.
