After playing the quintessential PA Guptaji to Home minister in `Baby`, the very versatile Murli Sharma is playing a babu again- to the perfection! This time in the film "Gaur Hari Dastan``, named after the freedom fighter himself and it is a story of him about how it took him 32 years to prove that he was indeed a part of the freedom struggle.
Never to shy away from good gestures, Murli promptly accepted the guest appearance that too without any remuneration.
Says producer Sachin Khanvilkar, "I am grateful to Murli for agreeing to be a part of this movie without charging a single rupee."
Director Anant Mahadevan too is all praises for Murli. "Murli showed admirable constraint in playing a hard-boiled government officer. His presence adds tremendous character to the role and is drawing applause all over."
Murli who started the year with Baby,Badlapur, Dharm Sankat Main, ABCD2, Welcome Zindagi and now 'Gour Hari Dastan' has lot of good releases lined up in the second half too. Some of them are Singh is Bling, 'Gangajal 2' , 'Vazeer', 'Sanam Teri Kasam' and two films in Telugu and Tamil each.
When questioned about the charitable gesture, he chose to downplay it. "It touched me and I wanted to be a part of it. Thats it!"smiles Murli.
