Vaibav's new movie 'Sixer' directed by Chachi and jointly produced by Trident Arts and Wallmate Entertainment is releasing this Friday the 30th of August. The trailer that has been released shows that the hero is afflicted by night blindness and is a grandson of the famous "Cook Kandaswamy" character played by Goundamani in 'Chinna Thambi' directed by P. Vasu.
Goundmani's lawyers have sent a legal notice to producer R. Dinesh Kannan and Sridhar advising them to delete the scene in which Vaibav is seen insulting the photo of the veteran comedian. It has been stated that Goundar has taken it as an insult to have used his photograph and also copied his famous dialogues from the movie without consent. The makers have been warned of severe legal action and defamation charges if the disputable scenes are not removed.
Following this legal notice it is now unknown whether 'Sixer' will release as planned or a compromise will be arrived at between the two parties.
