Director Ajay Bhupathi of 'RX 100' fame has been trying to launch his second movie. Titled 'Maha Samudram', this project has failed to take off for about 1.5 years now. The film is currently in the news because a portal has floated a baseless gossip about it, dragging Samantha Akkineni and mildly angering Aditi Rao Hydari.

The portal on Sunday claimed that Samantha has been shown the door by the makers of 'Maha Samudram' after 'Jaanu' bombed at the box-office. The gossip item added that the 'Sammohanam' actress Aditi will now be the female lead of the yet-to-be-announced drama.

Taking to Twitter, Aditi hit back at the portal, saying, "I genuinely feel this is important to say... a hit or flop cannot take away the credibility of an actor. Let’s not encourage this kind of thinking. Secondly, let's give a director/producer the respect to make their announcements in the way that they deem fit. Thank you."
