It was a gruesome murder at Attapur's Pillar No. 143 in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The assailants, four young men, bludgeoned to death a 35-year-old man in broad day light. As per some reports, a traffic constable and a number of passers-by failed to control the assailants.
Reportedly, the victim is one Ramesh, who is a prime accused in the murder case of Shamshabad-based Mahesh Goud. A few months ago, Ramesh had murdered Mahesh on the suspicion that the latter had an extra-marital affair with his wife. So, it was a revenge killing that happened today!
Ironically, when this jungle justice was meted out to him, allegedly by Goud's relatives, Ramesh was coming back from attending a court proceeding related to the case. He was out on bail some months ago.
The murderers didn't run away from the scene immediately after the murder. They stayed there for a while, and one of them even brandished the axe with which the victim was slained. Two of the perpetrators tried to discipline the public on the road with sticks in their hands.
The police have arrested the culprits.
