On Saturday evening, Deepika Padukone, the beautiful 'Tamasha' actress took it upon herself to play host to a musical night celebrating the music of 'Tamasha'. The night was thereafter peppered with effortless banter, surprises and a lot of "Matargashti". The actress looked lovely in a long, floral top and jeans.

As Deepika rightly said that unlike foreign cinema, music is a quintessential element in Indian cinema, the same also holds true for Imitiaz Ali's upcoming film, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Siddharth Roy Kapur.

The biggest surprise of the evening was Ranbir Kapoor, joining his Tamasha team on a video call from London. When he finally caught a glimpse of Deepika, he quipped, "Tum pehle bhi itni khoobsurat thi ya waqt ne kiya koi haseen sitam," quoting a filmi pick-up line from their last film together.

While Deepika and Siddharth chose "Agar Tum Saath Ho", Sajid picked "Matargashti". Ranbir sang a few lines of the happy-sad song "Heer Toh Badi Sad Hai". In picking personal favourites, the team was divided in their opinion. Ranbir's favourite number is "Wat Wat Wat" which was released at the event and its peppy beats got the audience hooting. "Matargashti" was the unanimous choice of the crowd present and Ranbir and Deepika danced to this upbeat number.

Tamasha being one of the most awaited films of the year showcases the most loved pair Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, who were last seen together in 2013, coming together on the silver screen on the 27th of November. Presented by UTV Motion pictures and Nadiawala Grandson Entertainment, Tamasha is directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiawala.
