Following the complaint of a mother of an 11-year-old girl, a 70-year-old ration shop worker has been arrest by the Gurgaon Police in Mumbai. It has been reported that the child and her father were staying in her paternal grandmother's house as her mother had to be away due to some other work for several months.

It is said that the 70 year old rationshop worker became friends with the father of the child and both men started drinking together every night. Once the father fell asleep the grandfather aged brute slowly crept upstairs where the child was sleeping and would remove her clothes and forcefully rape her.

After bearing this torture for may weeks on February 2nd the girl one day got hold of her father's cellphone and at 2 am in the morning caller her mother and told her she was very scared and asked her to come immediately and take her with her. The mother did not even know what was troubling her only child and rushed there the next morning and to her utter shock learnt about the old animal.

She immediately lodged a complaint with the Mumbai police and after medical examination of the girl the accused was arrested and booked under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code along with sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences.
